We are a community of Swahili-speaking individuals, mostly from the Eastern part of Africa. Swahili is one of the popular languages mostly spoken in East Africa. We are from different backgrounds, but at heart, we are all committed to the Biblical doctrine of Jesus Christ. As a church, we thrive on reading the Bible as individuals and as a church several days a week. We approach the current national or international issues by looking at what the Word of God says about them. We are a very diverse group of people, worshiping God in our native language of Swahili. Umoja Church Houston vision is becoming a discipleship ministry where the Word of God is experienced in action. We are committed to the doctrine of grace, the authority of the scriptures, and God-centered worship. We ensure the growth of every individual in knowing and experiencing God in their everyday lives.
